Who we are
The Happiest Guide Ever is operated by Christa Hardin (the "Seller," "we," "us"). We are the data controller for personal data processed through this site.
What we collect
- Contact details — name and email address when you purchase a guide or contact us.
- Order details — items purchased, order date, and any messages you send us.
- Usage data — pages visited, device type, browser, and IP address, collected via cookies and analytics.
- Support messages — anything you send us by email or contact form.
Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- To fulfill your order and deliver the product — performance of a contract.
- To provide customer support — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
- To improve the site, prevent fraud, and keep the service secure — legitimate interests.
- To send optional marketing emails — only with your consent (you can unsubscribe any time).
- To comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations — legal obligation.
Who we share it with
- Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, billing, subscription management, sales tax/VAT, invoicing, and refunds, and is a separate data controller for those purposes. See Paddle's privacy notice.
- Hosting, email, and analytics providers — acting as processors on our behalf.
- Professional advisers — accountants and lawyers where needed.
- Authorities — where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep order and tax records for as long as required by law (typically up to 7 years). Other personal data is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then deleted or anonymized.
International transfers
Some of our providers (including Paddle) may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
